One benefit of membership at Har Zion is enrolling your child in the Jane Fishman Grinberg Religious School (JFGRS). In our school we nurture excellence in learning and strive to inspire a love of Jewish living and learning that will last a lifetime. At Har Zion and in JFGRS we are firmly committed to all children being included in the Jewish learning that is a cornerstone of our tradition. Our Madregot inclusion program is one that makes us very proud. We make sure that a wide range of students with learning needs are capable of participating fully in all of our educational endeavors.

In our Elementary School we provide formal, informal and experiential opportunities for students from Kindergarten through fourth grade to explore their rich Jewish heritage. Our primary classes meet Sunday only, and build on familiarity with the synagogue, Jewish calendar, Torah stories and Hebrew language.  Our school utilizes the Etgar Yesodi curriculum for second-fifth grades.  Developed by The Jewish Theological Seminary of America, Etgar Yesodi utilizes an integrated approach to teaching Judaics.  The lessons invite students to find personal meaning in their Judaism through a variety of learning modalities, including text study, art, music, writing, projects and other hands-on experiences.  In the JFGRS there is a strong focus on building competent Hebrew readers, and preparing students to be comfortable with the prayers of the synagogue.  In the school we celebrate holidays and special occasions through various activities and events.

Our Middle School, grades 6-7, continues to build on the foundations that have been set in the elementary years but with a focus on the skill development that each child will need as they mature and take their place among the Jewish people in synagogue. Students refine their Hebrew reading and prayer competency skills, and explore topics such as Israel and current events, Holocaust, Jewish history, heroes, and Jewish ethics.  We have also integrated the Bar/Bat Mitzvah training program wherever possible.

At Har Zion we are blessed with visionary families who support Jewish learning and the arts. To that end we have created the Abiri Ritual Arts program which affords us the opportunity to create a significant work of Jewish ritual art with each student each year they are enrolled in our school.

We have also integrated the Bar/Bat Mitzvah training program wherever possible. For 8th-12th grades we participate in the regional Hebrew High school – LMAHH.
