HSA: The Home and School Association of the Noreen Cook Center for Early Childhood Education

The H.S.A. is a parent-led organization with the mission of serving as a liaison between parents, teachers, and Har Zion Temple to encourage family involvement in their child’s preschool experience, as well as a way to meet new people.  Our goal is to supplement and enrich the preschool program with religious, cultural, social, and fundraising activities for our children and their families.

We run yearly fundraisers that include Challah Happiness, Latke sales, Box Tops, Mables’ Labels, a Ladies’ Night Out shopping event, and an annual ‘For Our Children’ gala fundraiser each spring.

The H.S.A. fundraising proceeds revert directly into programs and improvements for the school and your children. With the efforts put forth by the H.S.A over the years, we have been able to purchase new computers, iPads, the Gan’s Smart Board, furniture for classrooms and the library, an awning to the preschool entrance to keep our children and staff dry, as well as bikes and outdoor playground equipment.  Our efforts also help provide teacher scholarship for continuing education.

The H.S.A. enhances the NCCECE curriculum by sponsoring holiday celebrations such as the Sukkot Dinner, age-level Shabbat dinners, Thanksgiving Feasts, a PJ Havdallah, Passover Sedarim, and an annual trip to Israel to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaout.  These events bring our school community together and enrich our children’s experiences at the NCCECE.

The more parents who volunteer, the better our programs are, and the more fun you will have during your children’s preschool experience. Just imagine the expressions of delight on your children’s faces when they see you at their events and involved in their activities. We count on our parents to help make the NCCECE the best pre-school in the Main Line.  We would love to have all parents involved so you can connect with other families and further enrich your child’s pre-school and Judaic experiences.

PTA: The Parent Teacher Association of the Jane Fishman Grinberg Religious School

The Parent Teacher Association of the Jane Fishman Grinberg Religious School = This group is made up of parents of students in the elementary and middle school divisions of the JFGRS. All parents are welcome and encouraged to join. We always welcome new volunteers to staff and organize our programs. Join us to meet other parents and to learn first hand all about the school’s exciting programs

• To assist the faculty and administration of the JFGRS in their educational mission
