Rabbi David Wolpe

Max Webb Rabbi Emeritus of Sinai Temple

Named The Most Influential Rabbi in America by Newsweek and one of the 50 Most Influential Jews in the World by The Jerusalem Post, Rabbi David Wolpe is the Max Webb Emeritus Rabbi of Sinai Temple. He serves as the ADL’s inaugural rabbinic fellow and a scholar in residence at the Maimonides Fund. Rabbi Wolpe has taught at institutions such as Harvard and UCLA and published in leading outlets like The New York Times, Time, and The Atlantic.

A sought-after speaker, he has appeared on programs such as Face the Nation and The Today Show and participated in debates with prominent figures like Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins. The author of eight books, including the bestseller “Making Loss Matter: Creating Meaning in Difficult Times,” his most recent work, “David, the Divided Heart,” was a finalist for the National Jewish Book Awards and optioned for a Warner Bros. film.
