From the installation of Cantor Herman to the grand finale, the Ultimate Celebration, these events promise to be moments of joy, gratitude, and inspiration, made possible by the dedication and passion of our chairpeople.
Special Guest Scholar Weekend
We are so excited to welcome Rabbi David Wolpe, the esteemed and nationally recognized Rabbi, as our Guest Scholar.
The weekend will consist of a special Friday evening Shabbat dinner following services, an Extended Kiddush, after Saturday morning Shabbat services and a Sunday morning program.
The well-known Wolpe brothers, Dr. Steven, Dr. Paul, and Rabbi Daniel will join their brother as they return to Har Zion Temple, their childhood congregation where their father, Gerald I. Wolpe z’l was our beloved Senior Rabbi for many decades.
There will be several opportunities to interact with the Wolpe brothers. This will be a weekend you will not want to miss!

The series kicks off with an unforgettable concert showcasing the talents of Greek-Israeli-Sephardic music legend Avram Pengas and klezmer violin virtuoso Alicia Svigals. Cantor Herman, known for his energetic and passionate performances, will lead this multicultural musical exploration, bringing together rhythms and melodies that resonate with the soul. Har Zion’s Ultimate Celebration, the crowning event of our centennial year! This unforgettable evening will feature cocktails, community, and a performance by a well known celebrity, that promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
