Seder Plate:
plastic disposable plates, sheet with pictures of the Passover symbols (charoset, parsley, shankbone, horseradish, egg, salt water), small plastic cups for salt water, clear contact paper cut slightly larger than the interior size of plate, scissors, tacky glue, crayons, markers
- Color and cut out symbols
- Place the symbols in position on the plastic plate, then press Contact paper circle in place onto the plate
- Put a small amount of glue in the center of the plate and some glue on the bottom of the cup. Glue cup to center of plate for salt water.

Elijah’s Cup:
3 clear plastic 5 oz. Tumblers per child, tinfoil, modeling clay, colored beads, tacky glue
- Glue two of the cups together, base to base
- Cover the cups with tinfoil
- Press down lumps of modeling clay to sides of cup to form puffy round circles
- Press colored beads into modeling clay lumps
- For actual drinking, insert the extra third cup into the top of the decorated wine cup
Note: This project may also be used to make Kiddush cups.

Felt Afikomen Bag:
8 ½ “x 11” colored felt rectangles, sequins, stencils, fabric markers, fabric glue
- Fold the lower third of felt obling upwards and glue along outer edge to form envelope. Top flap of felt should be folded down, not glued.
- Decorate with sequins and/or colored Jewish symbols, traced from stencils.
- Write “Afikomen” in English or Hebrew on top flap.

Ten Plagues “Dart Board”:
corrugated cardboard cake rounds, pipe cleaner, Velcro strips, small Styrofoam ball, clear contact paper (optional), tacky glue, felt markers, scissors
- Divide cake round into ten equal “pie” shaped sections
- Draw a picture of a plague in each section
- Punch hole at top of cake round and thread a pipe cleaner through it. Make a loop to hang “dart board”
- Optional: Cover cake round with clear contact paper
- Place a small Velcro strip inside each section
- Place a small Velcro strip around Styrofoam ball
- To play game, try to hit the plagues with the ball. If the ball sticks to a plague, it counts as a point, or a win, etc.

Passover Seder Pillow:
feathers, sequins, or glitter, stapler, glue, 2 pieces of colored felt 10”x12”. 8 sheets of paper towel, paint
- Decorate 2 pieces of colored felt with Passover designs by using feathers, sequins, or glitter and pants. Set this aside to dry.
- Place the 2 felt pieces together decorated sides out. Staple 3 sides closed.
- Gently stuff the pillow with the paper towel sheets.
- Staple the final side closed.
Recipes
Matza brei-fried matza:
- One egg
- Two pieces matza
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- Butter or margarine
This recipe is per person. Soak matza in boiling water for 3-5 minutes,. Drain. Add to well beaten egg, add salt. Fry in frying pan with butter or maragrine until brown. Turn and brown on other side.
Fruit Compote-parve:
- 1 lb. plain coconut macaroons
- 1 (20 oz.) can slices pineapple
- 1 (29 oz.) can apricots, drained
- 1 (29 oz.) can pears
- 1 (29 oz.) halved peaches
- 1 (12 oz.) apricot nectar
- small amount apricot liquor – Grand Marnier
- cinnamon and sugar
- drained maraschino cherries
Crumble macaroons and line a glass 9 x 13 inch pan. Reserve some crumbs. Drain all juice from fruits and layer fruits in pan. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on fruit. Top with cinnamon, sugar and cherries. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes.
Kamish cake – parve:
- 2 c. chopped nuts
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 2 c. matza cake meal
- 2 c. sugar
- ½ tsp. salt
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 1 tsp. potato starch
Mix all ingredients to make a stiff dough. Place in greased pan and brush top with beaten egg yolk. Bake for one hour in a 350 degree oven.
