Fishman Institute
Established by the Fishman family in honor of Samuel Fishman, The Fishman Institute For Adult Jewish Learning is dedicated to providing adult members of the congregation with the skills and knowledge that will allow them to assume a meaningful role in the religious life of the synagogue and to incorporate Jewish values and teachings into their daily lives. The Fishman Institute for Adult Jewish Learning presents a meaningful array of programs, diverse in both format and content, which focus on making Judaism relevant to contemporary life.

- Well-known Speakers Discussing the Most Critical Issues Facing the Modern Jewish Community
- Classes taught by Har Zion Clergy: some of these classes focus on synagogue skills: phonic reading of Hebrew, siddur skills and hazzanut.

The Psalms in Art and Music

The Psalms have been the inspiration for nearly limitless visual and musical creativity throughout the centuries. This evening's program will explore some of these expressions in the works of Mordechai Rosenstein while Hazzan Vogel will illustrate musically the enormous impact these texts have had upon the simplest musicians and most sophisticated composers throughout time. This program will be a visually and aurally enriching experience.
